Thomas
R. Klein, CPA, is a graduate of the University of
Baltimore in 1973. Tom founded T.R. Klein & Company
in March of 1981. Since inception, T.R. Klein & Company
has specialized in accounting and auditing of non
profit organizations. In addition to his CPA designation,
Tom is qualified under AICPA, Government and Circular
A-133 audit standards. Outside of T.R. Klein & Company, Tom started and is president of Friday’s Child, Inc. daycare center located in Canton, Maryland.

Carol
A. Malstrom, CPA 
Carol A. Malstrom, CPA, is a graduate of the University of Baltimore in 1993. A member of T.R. Klein & Company since 1990. Carol started as a part time bookkeeper for the firm and became a full time member upon her graduation and is vice president of the firm. Carol’s duties include the supervision and management of the larger audit engagements and management of all income taxes, both personal and business. In addition to her CPA designation, Carol is qualified under AICPA, Government and Circular A-133 audit standards.

David Steingroot, CPA, CVA 
David joined the T.R. Klein & Company in 2008. His duties include the supervision of the audit teams. David Steingroot is a graduate of Talmudic International University, in Miami where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree. He achieved his Master of Accounting from Florida International University. In addition to his CPA designation, David is qualified under AICPA, Government and Circular A-133 audit standards.

Richard
W. Hall 
Richard
W. Hall, is a graduate of Swarthmore College in
1969. A member of T.R. Klein & Company since
1991. Dicks duties include income tax research
and supervision of income tax preparation. In addition
to his public accounting experience, Dick also played
professional baseball and participated in four World
Series with the Baltimore Orioles. Collected two
World Series rings and elected to the Baltimore Orioles
Halll of Fame in 1989.

Daniel Domonkos 
Daniel came to T.R. Klein and Company in 2009. His responsibilities are conducting audits and compilations for our clients. Daniel has a Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University. He is currently a student at Stevenson University, working towards a degree in Forensic. Accounting. He is also preparing to sit for the CPA exam.

Craig Lee 
Craig is a graduate of Penn State University, with a degree in accounting. Craig’s duties include auditor of various non- profit organizations and various income tax returns. Craig is preparing to sit for the CPA exam.

Jacob Benzaquen 
Jacob joined the T.R. Klein team in early 2009. Jacob’s duties include performing audits for various not for profit clients and various accounting duties for some for profit companies. In addition, Jacob is eligible to sit for the CPA exam in Maryland. He received his Bachelors of Liberal Arts and Science degree from Excelsior College, a Master of Talmudic Law from Ner Isreal College. He also has a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola College in Maryland, Sellinger School of Business and Management.

Andrew Van Alsten 
Andrew joined T.R. Klein & Company in July of 2009. His primary area or responsibility is conducting audits and compilations of our not for profit clients. Andrew has both a Bachelor of Science in Finance as well as a Master of Science in Accountancy from Wake Forest University. He is in process of sitting for the uniform CPA exam

Stephen Averyire 
Stephen joined the T.R. Klein & Company team in 2008. His primary responsibility is the preparation of various tax returns for our clients, with a major emphasis in the 990. Stephen has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Baltimore.

Kirsten Francis 
Kirsten Francis became
a full time member of T.R. Klein & Company in
2003. Prior to 2003, she worked part-time while
pursing her degree from Essex Community College.
KJs
duties include assisting on audit engagements and
provides invaluable support in the office.

Jamie McCarthy 
Jamie McCarthy joined T.R.
Klein & Company, in 2007 as a member of our support
team.

Michael Frey 
Michael Frey A member of T.R. Klein
& Company since 1998. Mikes duties include
the management and organization of the Firm, including
computer and network management, QuickBooks training
and software installation for both for profit and
non profit clients. Mike is also involved in audits
and bookkeeping for many clients.

Dawn Tuerke 
Dawn joined the T.R. Klein company in October 2009. Her duties will include auditing of various not for profit companies, and preparing corporate and individual tax returns, including form 990. Dawn graduated Towson University in May 2002, with a degree in Accounting. She is preparing to sit for the CPA exam.
